The Militaristic U.S. Establishment's Ford Foundation apparently continues to invest its multi-billion dollar unscreened stock portfolio in U.S. war stock and transnational corporations that exploit consumers and working-class people around the globe. The grant money that is derived from the Ford Foundation's investment activity is also apparently being used to fund Norman Solomon's Institute for Public Accuracy and Amy Goodman's Democracy Now Productions, Inc. alternative media groups.
In 2004, for instance, the Ford Foundation gave a $200,000 grant to Norman
Solomon's Institute for Public Accuracy for "general support,"
according to the Ford Foundation's website. The Ford Foundation website
also revealed that in 2004 a grant of $150,000 was apparently also given
by the Ford Foundation to Amy Goodman's Democracy Now Productions Inc.
"to produce, broadcast and distribute a series of radio, television
and Internet reports on the media reform movement in the United States."--bob
